The most well written line in this column is "And the twins – who have known their share of sorrow – are grateful for the joy.". I chose this as one of the most well written lines in this article because I think it really pulls everything together and shows how they have gotten better without reading everything. Ramsey also uses "-" in her writing which could represent the change the twins have gone though, sorrow to joy in this sentence. Ramsey's style is sad at first but grows happier as you read more about how much Ryan and Morgan have done to make sure the girls have everything they need to be successful and happy, and that's what it shows in that quote as well.
I think Ramsey's writing style is flowery and elaborate because she always pulls in the reader in an interesting way and not a boring staccato way. She also talks to the reader by saying "you, him, they". For example in Ramsey: For better vision, kids need time outdoors she grabs the reader right away "You see it all the time. Your teenager at the dinner table, waiting for his checkup at the orthodontist’s office, sauntering to his car – continually hunched over his smartphone or iPad." I don't know about you but this really catches me because I can relate to this... well I'm the one doing it not the parent.
